Hello everyone! After finishing up at The Center this morning, we headed back to the church for some free time. The girls also took some time to split off from the boys to do some top-secret grocery shopping for tomorrow morning (more details to come). After that, we went to dinner at Zuppa Man where we all devoured some of the best

sandwiches and salads we’ve ever had. Our evening was blocked off for free time, so we didn’t have any mission work to do, but we found some fun ways to fill the time. We quickly followed up dinner with a trip to Ghostly Manor where we had fun roller skating, putt-putting, dodging lasers, and experiencing virtual reality. When we had exhausted ourselves enough, we left Ghostly Manor and took a trip to a pier to experience Cedar Point from afar and watch some sailboats. As we write, we’re finishing up showers and looking forward to the free time and games that tonight will hold. We’re all tired, but it’s been a great week and we can’t believe that we only have one day left. We hope you all sleep as well as we will tonight!

P. S. – Lisa, contrary to popular (mostly Eldon’s) belief, we’re not the average human. We love you (more than he does), we miss you, and we 1000% will be persuading you to come with us on the next mission trip with us.

Today at 7:15 am my mind didn’t want to do anything whatsoever. Of course, that is not how the day should start. I groggily peeled myself out of bed to go do morning devotions. After that the boys all made breakfast. Which comprised of a lot of different veggies to make… Breakfast burritos! Then we had our morning meeting, and then went to Nehemiah Partners, now called the Center. Today, all the kids played ‘Among Us’ with three kids being people called Imposters, who try to ‘eliminate’ everyone before the other kids can finish tasks they have to do to beat the imposters. Now
I’m writing this blog post before we go to a soup and sandwich restaurant called Zuppa Man, and an apparently awesome amusement center called Ghostly Manor. Then, I'm probably going to go and play a game with the rest of the kids at the church we're staying at.
Then, it will be time for group meeting. And then, for sleep!

Bye guys!  Miles

Tonight, our delectable delicacy was an enormous pizza. It is called the King Kong, and if you or a team of two finish this twenty-one inch wonder in under 30 minutes, then it’s free, you get a cash prize, a tee shirt, and a picture on the wall as proof of your incredible and slightly disturbing feat. By the end of it, thirteen people were all satisfied! This concludes my extensively researched report on our dinner. Also, I would like to mention Mrs. Wallover for reasons unbeknownst to the average human.

Today we went to Care & Share, which is a pantry (ish?) place, that those that do not have enough money or resources can go to and get food, clothing, and personal hygiene stuff for free. Most of the stuff they have is donated or it is stuff that kids forgot in school lockers or were left in the school lost and found.

My job today (my name is Bekah, but we’ll probably never meet again so you don’t have to remember… except you, Mom and Dad) was sorting the clothes that were picked up from the school(s). A LOT of the clothes stank, and it was gross because there was some stuff dried onto some of the polos so yeah. But aside from that, it was pretty cool because they had stuff like an old-fashioned box TV and really old telephones. Buh-byeeee.

This morning and afternoon, we helped at Nehemiah Partners where we helped serve children who experience the food desert here in Sandusky. (A food desert is where people in certain areas don’t have access to healthy food options like fruits and vegetables because of a lack of grocery stores within walking distance).  So, we fed them both breakfast and prepared a

lunch with the leaders and shared a delicious corndog and mac n’ cheese meal with the children. There were 15 total kids at the kid’s program. Overall, so far, the trip here in Sandusky has been fun and fulfilling and we are excited to continue to serve others here in need as the week goes on.

We got here safely and we went to Cedar Point and rode many rollercoasters and had tons of fun. We are sleeping at a church and tonight we went to a Crossfit gym to take showers.  (Our leader Chris works both at the church and is a Mixed Martial Arts Instructor and Coach!) Tomorrow we are going to McDonald’s for breakfast and then we are going to Nehemiah Partners to work with kids in the neighborhood.

Starting on July 29, thirteen Harvest Presbyterian youth and adults will be working with Nehemiah Partners to reach kids of Sundusky through their summer program. We will also be partnering with other local soup kitchen and food bank ministries to serve the needs of the community. Please keep us in prayer and come back for updates on our trip!
